Basic Play
Goal
- Reach game board and level objectives of each level by building and playing wordsGoal:
Game Play
- Create words by highlighting adjacent tiles
- Any adjacent tile (above, below, side, or diagonal) can be used to create a word
- Tiles can be used in any direction
- Tiles can only be used once within a word
- Play words to clear letter tiles, non-letter tiles, and bombs
- Selected tiles will have a red background when not a word and green when a word is made
- Click the play button to explode the word tiles and the clear button to unselect all selected tiles
Objective & Objects
Objective
Different tile types may have different properties from other tiles. The main letter tiles are light blue in color, are used to create words, will explode from a bomb, and will fall to the bottom of the screen when the tiles below explode. All letter tiles can be used to create words, however, the different color letter tiles may not have these same properties and will only contribute to the goal of that color type. Additionally, not all tiles have letters.
Objects
Blue Letter Tiles: Main game piece
Purple Letter Tiles: Share characteristics with main game pieces
White Blocks: Cleared by playing touching horizontal or vertical tile
Grey Letter Tiles: Will not fall when tiles beneath are cleared
Cherries: Cleared when they reach bottom of the board
Brown Blocks: Grow when no touching horizontal or vertical tile is cleared
Ice: Covers a letter and do not fall when tiles beneath are cleared
Orange Letter Tiles: Grow when no orange tile used in word
Boosters

Words
Word Builder Blitz Words
- We make every effort to make our word list accurate with a focus on real words. As silly as it may sound, that is not an easy task given the variations in what is considered a word based on the source. The following structure was used to create our word list.
- Include all English language words 3 -15 letters in length with exception to:
- Capitalized Nouns
- Abbreviations
- Words requiring a hyphen or apostrophe
- Words that do not stand on their own (prefixes and suffixes)
- Words generally found to be offensive to a common player
- The inclusion or exclusion of a word is not us taking a stance on what is offensive or not. It is based on common knowledge and user feedback. Your input on the accuracy of our word list is always welcome (see next bullet).
- Include all English language words 3 -15 letters in length with exception to:
- If you find a word you think should be included in the list or that should be excluded please contact us and we will evaluate updating our word list accordingly.
Playing Words & Move Availability
- Various levels require a strategic approach to meet objectives. This includes the order and location of what tiles may need to be cleared. As a result, a player may get “stuck” where they are unable to make a move and are forced to quit a level if they do not think ahead.
Word Length
The game is designed with a minimum and maximum word length as follows:
- Minimum: 3 letters
- Maximum: 15 letters
- We would love to see a word this long! Please share a screenshot if you find one, or anything in double digits for that matter!
